Its Spring, which means premium wading time due to the water levels dropping. Pike are Spawning here on the island.so by next wednesday once they are out of their post spawn, funk I'm gunna be hitting the shallows with a vengeance. Its hard for me to explain how many pike I watched spawning last night in just one single bay, but it was literally hundreds. Anyway the last 3 yrs here I've been fishing with much smaller flies with tightly packed spun deer hair heads with awesome effect at this time of the year. I'll post them tomorrow and go through the reasoning behind them and how I fish them
